From 17 August 2026, Lee Greenwood takes over as Coordinator of Havant ODC, keeping the centre open for young people doing their DofE.
From 17 August 2026, Havant ODC is under new management, with Lee Greenwood taking over as the centre’s new Coordinator.
Thank you to the previous team
The previous team did an amazing job running the centre. They supported many young people through their Bronze, Silver and Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards, and a huge thank you goes to everyone involved for their time, energy and commitment.
Other commitments meant the team were no longer able to continue, and the centre was scheduled for closure.
Keeping the centre open
Rather than see Havant ODC close, Lee stepped up to help run it. The centre stays open as an Open DofE Centre, still running under Hampshire County Council’s DofE Licensed Organisation, and remains open to any young person in the area, whether or not their school or youth group offers the DofE.
As Coordinator, Lee will organise expeditions and volunteer leaders so every participant gets a safe, well-run route through their Award.
